Interning @ JEF

Do you want to shape the Europe of tomorrow? Then we have what you want!

Join the JEF-Europe Secretariat as an intern for a period of 2 to 6 months (full or part time) and discover the free-spirited and open-minded JEF members dancing along the vibes of a united Europe.

JEF is a professionally functioning organisation consisting almost exclusively of volunteers. In order to keep the entire organisation running, the European Secretariat is regularly drawing on interns who are willing to support JEF's goals and discover the real working life in an active Brussels-based NGO - an excellent preparation for the job market!

Interns learn, among others, about event organisation, communication policy, translations and website management, they have the opportunity to go to conferences of the EU institutions and partner organisations, contribute to editing publications and the articles submitted to www.thenewfederalist.eu, travel to ongoing international activities and taste from Brussels' life!

The main tasks include (depending on the duration of the internship one of the following):

  • Assisting with daily administrative tasks
  • Assisting with preparations for JEF pan-European actions (COP16, Belarus)
  • Updating of databases and internet site(s)
  • Contributing to the JEF Newsletter and our online magazine thenewfederalist.eu
  • Communication to JEF sections in more than 30 European countries
  • Participation in international events of JEF-Europe

JEF receives full-time and part time interns for a period of at least three months. You can find more details about our rules of work and stay here

We are looking forward to welcoming an enthusiastic team player willing to show initiative in their work, knowledge and/or experience of the European institutions and policies.
