The JEF Executive Bureau and Federal Committee 2005-2007 were elected at the Congress in Strasbourg in October 2005. They were in charge of the activities of the organization until October 2007, when JEF elected a new team in Copenhagen. Apart from the directly elected members listed below, the Federal Committee of JEF-Europe was composed by one representative for each national section of JEF:

Period 2003-2005

They were in charge of the activities of the organization until October 2005, when JEF elected a new team in Strasbourg. Apart from the directly elected members listed below, the Federal Committee of JEF-Europe was composed by one representative for each national section of JEF:

Secretariat

Secretariat 2010-2012 


Javier originally comes from Spain, but he is studying his Master program European Studies in Lund University (Sweden). Javier joined the Secretariat in June 2011, and he stayed with us until mid of December. With his international experience studying and living in different countries of Europe, he contributed to the work of JEF secretariat in terms of communication and administration management. Javier is getting ready to write his master thesis the next 2012 spring, and JEF can provide good ideas and environment where to start the research.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Originally coming from France where he is an active JEFer, Quentin is now doing a master in European Studies in Brussels. He joined the Secretariat until the end of January 2012 and help it in its various tasks. Being already a member of the editorial team of the Taurillon and having a particular interst in journalism he also tried to develop further the TNF by creating partnerships and involving more closely the various JEF sections.

 

 

 

Živa is from Slovenia and implemented her Leonardo da Vinci placement at JEF Secretariat. She finished master studies in Russian, Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian languages and literature at University of Ljubljana. She joined JEF Secretariat team at from December 2011 until April 2012. She became interested in European issues after volunteering experiences abroad. Živa is especially interested in cooperation of Western Balkans countries and its integration into European Union. During her stay at JEF Secretariat she assisted in organization of the annual Belarus action as well as participate in other JEF activities.

 

 

Lea (24) is originally from Germany and finished her Master's Program European Studies at Maastricht University (Netherlands). From September 2010 on, she stayed for three months as project assistant at the JEF-Europe Secretariat in the exciting city of Brussels. The project she was mainly working on was the international seminar and conference on Malta in October 2010 about the topic of immigration. Additionally, she dedicated herself to the bi-monthly JEF-INFO newsletter and other various JEF campaigns.




Lia (21), is originally from Germany and studies European Studies in Bremen. She already did a European voluntary service in Belgium before joining the European secretariat and assisting with all occurring tasks. Her main motivation is to actively help in improving European understanding among citizens. Lia dedicated her time to the bi-weekly JEF-INFO newsletter, the preparation and follow-up of the international seminar in Budapest and all the other JEF projects.


 

 

 



Josephine (24) joined the JEF-Europe secretariat in February and will assist the secretariat team until the end of June. Originally, Josephine comes from Germany (Berlin) and studies International Communication in the Netherlands. Besides daily administrative tasks, she will, in particular, contribute to communication related tasks. Having already collected a wider range of international experience in working and living together with people of different cultural background, she is looking forward to use her intercultural communication skills to contribute to a successful dialogue between the JEF-Europe and the national sections.

Evangelia comes from Greece and studied law in Athens. This year she started her Master studies in human rights in Grenoble, France. The promotion of democracy and human rights as universal and European values is a crucial issue for her. She just joined the JEF-EU Secreteriat this week and will assist in the communication and administration management, while also having organisational responsibilities. Having previous experience in non-profit organisations Evangelia is interested in strengthening the role of civil society by participating in the European reality.

 

Secretariat 2008-2010

Though originally from Slovenia, Peter Matjasic considers himself a true European, having lived and travelled in various parts of Europe (e.g. Barcelona, Berlin). Peter started working in the European Secretariat in Brussels as SG in September 2008.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Johannes Kunath is from Germany and is contributing to the work of JEF-Europe from March to August 2010. He is the Editor for the bi-monthly JEF-INFO newsletter, which is providing JEFers with the latest information about seminars, events and announcements concerning the Young European Federalists. Furthermore, he takes care about the representation of JEF-Europe in online social media and helps to maintain the webzine thenewfederalist.eu.


 

 

 

 

 



 

Francesco Santini is originally from Italy and is currently doing a double diploma Master between the Universities of Twente (the Netherlands) and Münster (Germany). He is working as an intern with JEF-Europe for the next couple of months. Practically he is translating articles for the thenewfederalist.eu and Eurobull, assisting in JEF campaigns, promoting JEF through different channels and helping to keep contacts with the Italian section.


 

 

 

 

Sarah Todd (22) from France, is studying European Studies at the Sorbonne University in Paris. After visiting and living in different countries, she is staying in Brussels for two months for an internship at the JEF-Europe Secretariat. She will contribute to the JEF-Europe homepage and help to maintain the online magazine thenewfederalist.eu. She will furthermore contribute as a translator and assist in various other tasks at the office.

Iohanna GONZALEZ is half French-half German. She has worked as a Project Manager for the European project "Europe@mydesk". She has a Master in Political Science and another one in International Relations from the Institute of Political Science in Strasbourg. She moves every year to a new city, participated in Erasmus exchange programme in Stockholm, interned at the French Embassy in Berlin, at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and worked for the Remscheid Academy for Cultural Youth Education near Cologne.

 

 

Tomas SPRAGG has been working for the JEF-Europe secretariat from February to April 2010. He was the mastermind behind the immensly successful Belarus Action 2010 and has also been involved with thenewfederalist.eu and a number of other JEF initiatives.

 

Pia MENNING from Germany was working it the secretariat from April 2009 to April 2010. She studied European and Comparative Law in Bremen, Groningen and Ghent and gained practical experiences during internships in Berlin and Brussels. She is passionate about European politics and traveling around the world. During her EVS she was mainly engaged in communication issues.

Matej ČRNJAVIČ joined the JEF Europe Secretariat as an European Volunteer in April 2009 and worked until Spring 2010. Matej has been an active member of JEF Slovenia since 2005, where he organised and participated in different seminars and other national and international events. He studied International Relations at the University of Ljubljana and has gained practical experience in European affairs and international politics through work for the Ministry of Economy during Slovenia's EU Presidency and for the British Embassy in Slovenia.

 

 

 

 

Julia BRINK from Germany was doing her EVS in the JEF secretariat from February to July 2009. She graduated in European Studies in Passau and Prague and gained pactical experience in international politics and communication thanks to internships throughout Europe.

 ALESSIO PISANO' from Italy, was an intern in the Secretariat between November 2008 and January 2009. His duties were communication and administrative organization. He is a young journalist who trusts European Union and its values.
