The multilateral Training Course entitled “ImpACT Your World” organized by JEF-Europe and JEF Armenia in cooperation with 11 member and partner organisations from all corners of Europe (Belgium, Belarus, Germany, Malta, Moldova, Norway, Slovakia, Croatia, Georgia, Finland, Serbia, Estonia and Armenia) will take place in Armenia from 18 until 25 February 2012. 

Are you willing to gain practical skills on the effective use of new media technologies and social networks in your work? This seven days training course is made for you! You will have the opportunity to share your success stories and obtain new skills and ideas from the other participants on how to be successful in using new media technologies. It is a unique chance for you to meet with leading bloggers from Armenia and to discover how topics such as human rights, equality, volunteering, environment and the rule of law are covered in the Armenian and in the global blogosphere. Further objectives of the project include fostering exchange and mutual understanding between young people from different background, encouraging them to become active citizens, and developing intercultural dialogue. Some important elements are also present in all JEF encounters, namely focus on non-formal and peer education.

In a multicultural, informal environment 30 active and motivated young people from 13 partner countries from all over Europe will share their blogging, new media and social networking experience with each other and exchange views and practices. The participative approach will provide the basis for exchanging ideas, information, experience, expertise and good practices. How can one raise a question and bring it to the agenda through the use of blogs? New media technologies give people a new way to make their voice heard and one has to be aware of their potential and functioning.

Financial conditions

Food and accommodation are covered for the duration of the Training Course. 70% of the travel cost will be covered and reimbursed via bank transfer upon completion of the event. 30% of the travel cost will be deducted from the participant’s travel reimbursement.

Target group

The project “ImpACT your World” is focused on young people aged from 18 to 30, volunteers, youth workers, bloggers or people interested in the topic. Only people from AND living in the following partner countries can apply : Belgium, Belarus, Germany, Malta, Moldova, Norway, Slovakia, Croatia, Georgia, Finland, Serbia, Estonia and Armenia

Training and Networking events with Neighboring Partner Countries supports the training of those active in youth work and youth organizations, in particular the exchange of experiences, expertise and good practice as well as activities which may lead to long-lasting quality projects, partnerships and networks.
