Call for Participants: JEF Training Days

Leuven, Belgium - 14-17 January 2011

Welcome to Europe - Welcome to the JEF Training Days!

We are pleased to invite you to the annual training days of JEF-Europe, taking place in the lovely and cosy students' town nearby Brussels: Leuven. On Friday 14 January the training days will kick-off in Brussels with a closing-event on the Malta Conference, entitled “Welcome to the EU, A youth perspective on immigration”, after which we head to Leuven for two days full of intensive training and fun! On Monday 17 January we return to Brussels and wrap up the training days before lunch with a thorough debriefing and evaluation. Please check the draft programme for more details.

Why training days?

Organising international seminars and projects, is a great challenge and definitely gives your personal development a huge 'boost'. However, organisational and financial burdens too often scare motivated youngsters away from taking initiative. With these training days we aim to provide an in-depth training on project and financial management, whilst giving you the opportunity to exchange best practices with other JEFers and develop your own multilateral and/or bilateral projects. The Youth in Action programme of the European Commission provides tons of opportunities to apply for project grants on your national level. You just have to discover them and off you go!
