Federalist Intervention Task Force
Federalist Intervention Task force in Brussels (FIT- Bxl) aims at increasing the visibility of federalists in the European level debate and bringing the federalist voice and visions to EVERY relevant Brussels event. All kinds of organisations and institutions organise debates and conferences with a large audience - by simply being present as participants we can raise our hands and make a question or intervention with key federalist messages. With very few human resources, thousands will receive our messages!
IN PRACTICE - UEF Secretariat will coordinate an agenda with a selection of events and conferences in Brussels and send it out to the task force members fortnightly. If you are inspired, please contact us on campaign(at)federalists.eu before the event to say you plan to go and after the event to say you attended and briefly state what you intervened about. If you hear of good events do let us know on the same address!
Each person only needs to commit to VISIT 1 EVENT PER MONTH. By joining up small commitments from each of us we can make federalism the most present voice in Brussels!
POLITICAL CONTENT - As basis for our interventions we are working on a document including argumentation per topic that we will share with you soon. This should help you prepare your interventions and get inspiration! It is up to you to see what issue is good to bring up, and also to see if it makes more sense to take up a federalist issue that is not explicitly covered by the ‘Federalist arguments sheet’.
Please find below the very first issue of the FIT Agenda! Please don’t forget to contact us on campaign(at)federalists.eu before the event to say you plan to go and after the event to say you attended and briefly state what you intervened about. If you hear of good events do let us know on the same address!
We enclose a Federalist arguments sheet we drafted for you and that could help you prepare your interventions and get inspiration! If you have any remarks or suggestions on slogans that you wish to further develop please get in touch.
Feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you think might have an interest to join and if you think of someone we should add to our list, do let us know: every voice counts!
