JEF Policies

In this section one can find out more about JEF-Europe's policies by reading the resolutions passed at the Federal Committee and Congress meetings. Draft resolutions are submitted to the European Secretariat 3 weeks before the statutory meeting. At the meeting, they are first discussed within the PCs or WGs before being put to a vote in plenary to adopt them.

The national sections as well as the chairs of the Political Commissions (PCs) and Working Groups (WGs) are responsible within the Federal Committee (FC) for elaborating External JEF Policies (EPs) pertaining to political matters or Internal JEF Policies (IPs) pertaining to organisational matters. This can happen formally under the format of draft resolutions submitted to the FC before a statutory meeting or by giving informal orientation and support to the EB in-between the FC meetings.

Feel free to take a look at the Handbook on JEF Policies explaining the significance of the resolutions to the organisation and focussing on the particular role of the Political Commissions.

Here below is an overview of all valid resolutions which go back to 2 years and a half ago. Please note that resolutions 'expire' after two and a half years unless they are readopted. Therefore, any older resolutions have lapsed and do not constitute JEF-Europe policies anymore. Nonetheless, they represent an interesting read and have a historical significance.
